DRIVER DEVELOPMENT

DRIVER DEVELOPMENT

NKM can now offer a young driver a way to progress from Jr. Late Models to ARCA Menard's West Series competition all under one roof by utilizing a combination of Pro-Late Models and Super Late Models to build their skill set.  This lets them have the same group of mentors, coaches and crew chiefs around them through their entire process, so they can focus on learning each new car and track and not have to worry about building chemistry with different teams at each step along the way.

JR LATE MODEL PROGRAM

DSCN0211

This is a nine-race series that is televised on MAVTV! The Jr. Late Model Series is in its 4th year of competition. The concept started back in 2009 and came to fruition in 2016 under the guidance of Madera Speedway track owner Kenny Shepherd who believes a restricted late model is a great place for a youngster to hone their skills in a car they can move up with throughout their teenage years. At NKM we believe that the experience gained in the Jr Late Model Series will give young drivers the racecraft and experience to move up into the Pro Late Model series with very little change. NKM is proud to hold the Championship title for the 2017, 2018 & 2019 race seasons with Jesse Love (2017 & 2018) and Joey Iest (2019)!

All nine races of the Series will be broadcasted nationwide!

The 2021 Season will see the Nakke - Klauer Motorsports team continue its efforts and involvement in a new traveling SRL Pro Late Model Series as we believe that is the next step for young drivers coming out of Jr Late Models. For drivers ready to take the next step in their Late Model careers all with aspirations to have a professional racing career in the top levels of NASCAR. NKR is a turn-key driver development program. All race cars are maintained in-house by our highly skilled crew chiefs and crew members. NKR is continually updating our cars to keep up with technology. This allows our drivers to compete with the best most up to date equipment.

TRANS AM TA2

TA Car2

The Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli is America’s Road Racing Series and dates back to 1966. Throughout the years, some of the greatest names in motorsports have participated in the Trans Am Series. Names like Tommy Kendall, Mark Donohue, Peter Gregg, Bob Tullius and Wally Dallenbach, Jr. have all won multiple championships under the Trans Am name.

While Trans Am will always be dedicated to honoring its history and legacy, it is far from simply living in the past. Since the addition of the Trans Am Race Company, LLC in late 2011, Trans Am has experienced unprecedented growth as a new class based model has been implemented. Now, four distinct classes take center stage; TA, XGT, TA2™, SGT and GT while Trans Am is positioned to power into the future, not live in the past.

At Naake - Klauer Motorsports we provide the opportunity to both race and test TA2 cars at a variety of different tracks.  With the addition of 6 road course events to the NASCAR Cup schedule it is evident that road racing will be a major part of the step ladder to the Cup Series.

Construction has started on a new home for Naake - Klauer Motorsports Trans-AM Program.  The shop will be located Thermal, CA on the grounds of the Thermal Club.  With over five miles of racetrack, three distinguished circuits and 20 configurations, racing at the Thermal Club is an unmatched experience.
